Entwining Dragon Bo Staff (Pang Lung Pang)

(3rd Degree Black Belt level)

 

The name reflects the staff's flowing, coiling movements, and this form emphasizes the versatility of the bo staff for both long-range and short-range engagements. The movements are fluid and powerful, requiring full-body coordination to generate force that reaches the tip of the staff.

 

The form incorporates fluid, "serpent-like" and "coiling" hand and body movements that mimic a dragon. This creates a sense of the staff wrapping around an opponent's weapon (entwining) to trap, control, or redirect their force, before delivering a powerful counter-strike.

While sophisticated and powerful, this form will be easy to learn and understand in the two-hour seminar format.
